We have all heard about the importance of literacy skills, numeracy skills, social skills. All these skills we share with our children to help them become successful, healthy little humans. It’s a lot of pressure, no? But all of these amazing thinking skills are only improved by an exposure to physical exercise. This does not mean pushing our kids into sports earlier and earlier. It means getting them active and excited about movement and fitness. Physical literacy is building in a love of exercise with developmentally appropriate activities.
Pacific SPORT, based out the Pomeroy Sports Centre, is offering two excellent workshops for parents, teachers or coaches who are looking for more tools to help our kids love physical activity. Hope to see you there!
