• Daddy and Me Gym Night

    Great turnout for Daddy and Me Gym Night tonight.  SD 60 is pleased to provide this event to our community.  We love to promote playful learning and honour the role dads play in the lives of children.  It also gets kids and dads active which if you hadn’t noticed is my current soapbox.  It was a great time.  Join us next month!

  • StrongStart Outreach programs

    StrongStart Outreach programs start on Monday, September 17th.  The schedule is the same as last year.  This fall, we are moving spaces in a few schools due to the largest number of Kindergarten students ever in School District 60.  We are lucky to have extra teachers in many schools but this puts constraints on the Outreach programs.  If you are participating in StrongStart in our rural communities,

    Pick a jar. Fill it with active ideas you can do with your loved ones.  Pull one out and commit to doing it with your family.  Get active.

    The Rotary Play Centre at the Child Development Centre is almost ready!  The schedule this fall is the same as last spring.  The hours continue to be Mon, Wed, Thurs mornings from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm,

  • Daddy and Me – bowling


    Pam Lillico hosts the monthly community Daddy and Me events. Here is her message for September.
    Just back this week and started it out with 40 people (22 children and 18 dads) attending our Daddy and Me bowling last night.  We welcomed 9 new families to Daddy and Me.
