Update #4 COVID-19 March 17, 2020 – In-person classes suspended

The following letter is from the Superintendent, Stephen Petrucci,

Dear Parents,

As you may have heard from recent announcements, in-person classes have been suspended.  We do not know how long they will be suspended.  This is a provincial decision based on the best health information available.  We all have a responsibility to do our part during this health crisis, including good hygiene practices and self-isolation when appropriate.

There will be more details to come in terms of what the suspension of classes means – for students, parents and all staff.  Please do not contact your school or the board office at this time.  We have been working on contingency plans and will have more information next week.  Our district is well-placed in terms of our technology infrastructure, tools and skill set.  Everyone will play a role in making the best out of this difficult situation.

We will continue to give updates on this site.
Sincerely,

Stephen Petrucci
