At the trade fair this week-end, I happened upon the most unexpected booth. I’ve heard of doulas but wrongly assumed these were options available only in larger centres. Mary Neudorf and Linda Siemens are offering their pregnancy support services locally. I don’t have specific information about these ladies but was excited to hear the option exists for couples who are interested.
How you choose to deliver your babies is very personal. We have access to excellent medical care in Fort St. John without pursuing any other options. I, however, think options get us talking. Conversations are always richer with more voices. Interestingly Fort St. John mothers can now explore if a doula is right for them.
