Responsible Adult training at CCRR

There is going to be a Responsible Adult Course offered at CCRR in February.  The course is 20 hours long and is offered between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm on the following dates.

  • Tuesday, Feb.11th
  • Thursday, Feb.13th
  • Tuesday, Feb.18th
  • Tuesday, Feb.25th
  • Thursday, Feb.27th

Responsible Adult training is intended for those who wish to meet the requirements for a “Responsible Adult” in child care settings as stipulated by the Child Care Regulations. The training covers the following topics:

  • Good Health in Child Care Settings
  • Children’s Nutrition and Safety, Child Growth & Development
  • Guiding and Caring for Children
  • Parent-Caregiver Relationships
  • Learning Through Play
  • Basic Programming with Health & Safety in Mind

This course is perfect for individuals who want to work as a Responsible Adult in a child care setting or would like to develop basic knowledge and skills for working with children. All participants must be 19 years of age or older.  In order to graduate with a 20 hour certificate participants must:

  • Attend all classes
  • Complete all homework assignments
  • Complete unit quizzes with a 70% minimum
