Our first field trip to Save On Grocery Store!!! We had a blast. Once everyone arrived at school we walked down the block to catch the city bus. I think riding the bus is almost as exciting as going through Save On..lol A very nice man, named Al, showed us around the grocery store. We got to eat a chocolate brownie at the bakery, walked through the fresh produce to see all the healthy food choices and took a tour of the stores giant refrigerators and freezer. The highlight of the tour by far was the “box crusher”. The children were amazed !!! Once our tour was done Al gave us a gingerbread house kit for us to take back to school (for Decembers cooking day) and he donated the kit to us! Wow how nice of Save On!! But wait that’s not all, each child was given a “goodie bag”, with healthy snacks, a juice box, and a really cool sticker that had lights.
After, we all walked down to the cultural center and had a snack while we waited for the bus to take us back to preschool. It was a great day and we all had lots of fun!!
