Playful Literacy Ideas: 

Decide which activity you’d like to do or do them all this week. Here are some great ideas and “Father’s Day” themed stories: 

  • Click on the following YouTube link for a great “dad” story: When Dads Don’t Grow Up!
  • This Father’s Day don’t forget your grandpa/grandfather/papa.  Planning on spending time with him?  Click on the following YouTube link for ideas:  How to Babysit a Grandpa!
  • Create a “Camping Story Book/Album using your camping pictures-print off pictures of your camping adventures (in the house, backyard or campsite) and paste in a notebook/scrapbook and have your child tell the story!  Write down your child’s words-word for word. 
  • Have fun with this YouTube Video-echo the song with your child and make up actions for: We’re Going on a Bear Hunt

Playful Numeracy Ideas: 

Decide which activity you’d like to do or do them all this week.
