January is Family Literacy Month

The theme for this year’s events is 15 Minutes of FUN!  There will be celebrations around town for the whole month of January until Family Literacy Day on Sunday, January 27th.

Pre-School Play Day at the North Peace Leisure Pool

The monthly Pre-School Play Day is tomorrow at the NPLP.  This monthly event has the regular admission costs but features special activities for your little ones.  Tomorrow Santa and Mrs. Clause will be making a visit.

As play becomes a hotly debated topic with scholars and parents, another concern is surfacing, safety.  The argument is that too much “safety” takes the fun out of play and may even hinder our children’s healthy development.
